Using Google Forms in the Classroom
I think using google forms would be a great way to test/quiz your students, to get feedback, and overall a great way to incorporate technology into you class. These forms are simple to use and give a variety of different question types to choose from. Students are able to answer multiple choice, check boxes, scales, essay, and many more types of questions by using these forms. If you do establish a class blog, this would be a great way to get feedback from parents and students as well regarding class materials, assignments, and other subject areas that you wish to get information about. As a teacher you could create google forms to use at the beginning of the year to get to know your students, forms that allow your students to rate or choose an assignment or activity they would like to do, what they like to learn. You could use these forms as a way to see where students are at academically with the material and the lessons. There are many ways to use google forms and these are just a few. I would consider using google forms in my classroom in the future.

Using Video as an Education Tool
Using video in the classroom can be a great tool to use when teaching lessons, for student assignments, sharing videos and many other useful ways. I think using video is a very helpful tool and should be utilized in schools. Creating videos as assignments is a really fun lesson that students will enjoy and is different from everyday book learning. You can get really creative when making videos that include still images, video, audio, music and other attributes. Videos can be used to teach a concept or lesson. When you are not sure how to explain or teach a subject, videos can be useful tools to show in the classroom. I have experienced many occasions when video in the classroom became handy. For example, I observed a classroom where video played a major part in teaching propaganda. The videos used in this lesson helped students visual see what four types of propaganda were instead of the teacher just telling them orally what the difference was. I think video can be a useful tool and should be used in the classroom help teach lessons and add great visual aids for students.

A Technical Application
Throughout this technology course I have learned many web, video, and audio applications that I have not have prior experience in using. One application in particular that I have learned to use rather consistently is this blog. I have never had any use or interest in using a blog before this class. After learning about the useful aspects of creating a classroom blog I have grown a new interest for blogs. I believe that when I do become a teacher I will strongly consider creating and implementing a class blog to communicate not only with students but with parents as well. They are a great way to post schedules, assignments, activities, student creations, resources and further education opportunities. I have enjoyed using the classroom blogs to collaborate with our peers and professor.
