I created a webquest lesson plan on parts of speech. This lesson is complete with instructions, video and assignments on learning four parts of speech.

The Use of Technology in the Classroom!

(reflection on chapter two)

Technology is a great way for people to connect with the public and other members in the community. Using a wiki portal allows an easy way for teachers to collaborate with their students' parents about classroom news, assignments, activity links, announcements and other information that may come up. Using a secure (password-protected) learning management system or LMS, is a good way for teachers to coordinate with parents about their child's grades, behavior, progress and any other confidential information. A positive characteristic about using a wiki portal rather than a secure LMS is that it gives teachers the ability to share their knowledge and ideas about student education. Fryer does a great job of giving multiple ways to use technology as teachers in the classroom. I also liked the fact that he gives positives and negatives about each type as well.
